Tree Of Colours CIC

The purpose of the company is to engage the community in practical ways that stimulate employment and entrepreneurship. It will achieve this by practical action including but not restricted to creating, encouraging and promoting opportunities in the fields of education, training, youth and apprenticeship, opening up access to education at all levels for individuals aged 18 and older.

Creating, encouraging and promoting employability, training and job opportunities for local people so that they may (re)enter the job market. Stimulating in practical ways the creation of businesses and social enterprises some of which are led and managed by local people learning how to act in an entrepreneurial way both to their own benefit and to that of the wider Newham and East London community.

Who we are?

We are a non-profit organisation focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. The purpose of the company is to engage the community in practical ways that stimulate employment and entrepreneurship.

What we do?

Our purpose it will achieve by practical action including but not restricted to creating, encouraging and promoting opportunities in the fields of education, training, youth and apprenticeship, opening up access to education at all levels for individuals aged 18 and older. With the help of our tireless staff, we organise fundraisers, community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for our volunteers.

Who is for?

We facilitate intercultural awareness and solidarity workshop sessions, organising cultural exchanges and tolerance training, strengthening cross-border civil society by providing support, knowledge transfer and sharing of good practices, as well as by developing collaborative initiatives with our broad network of international partners. Tree Of Colours CIC is primarily active in the fields of lifelong learning and intercultural dialogue, empowerment of youth and socio-economically vulnerable groups in general.

Practice make it perfect

Our association has developed contacts with several companies in the region, in different sectors of activity, which enables us to place, support and monitor the participants of our projects in the active working life. The contacts we have developed with these entities have been very enriching for both parties, as they benefit from knowledge sharing and interaction.

The best experience

These initiatives allow the participants to be in contact with the work context of a different culture where they can apply the knowledge acquired. These activities especially allow them to develop their entrepreneurial skills and helping them build higher self-esteem and confidence. We also promote intercultural cooperation between people with different dynamic programs covering topics such as human rights, equal opportunities and promoting awareness of the need for voluntary collective solidarity, tolerance and social inclusion.

It's time to work it out

Our social enterprise also aims to develop, fund and implement solutions to social, cultural or environmental issues from our local community.  But we need your help to keep the aims and mission moving forward. Help us fund our efforts both online and offline to empower youths and socio-economically vulnerable groups through Employment, Education & Training (EET). We cannot do it without you.

Generation Europe: young policy makers

“Generation Europe: young policy makers” introduced and developed ideas from “young European decision makers”. The project involved 12 international organisations and 60 participants, 48 young people and 12 decision makers/experts. At the summit the young European innovators participated in a structured dialogue to produce 10 proposals for the future of the European Union.

The project was funded by the European Commission and led by the Democratic Culture Foundation in partnership with SOS Europe and other European youth think tanks.

Our Team

Our enterprise stimulates successful partnerships with other organisations which share same values and aims. As a UK partner for a wide range of Erasmus+ and other projects led by organisations across Europe, we offer access to international training and learning opportunities. Moreover, we inspire participants on our own courses to get additional experience by taking part in projects and activities run by others.

Our international experience can bring extra value to your organisation and support your own capacity for international work. We apply to projects big and small, international partnership meetings and we encourage organisation to access European funding. We are an accredited coordinating and sending organisation for European Solidary Corps and we can help you to access a range of volunteer placements abroad, or to host volunteers from other countries.

We also make partnerships with other organisations in the UK or around the world to create project opportunities.
